“Call An Ambulance” is the second album by Big City, a 5 piece pysch folk/rock band from Zaragoza. Their melodies will rip your heart out...simple as that. Expect impossible arrangements as well exercised multi instrumentalist they are. Some say they sound like a full band Elliot Smith, some others like an alt. country version of Pavement and they love the Beach Boys...what can you make of that? Only one thing, amazing! Tachenko’s second album “Las Jugadas Imposibles” can only be described as a masterpiece of spanish indie pop. Mind you...isn’t that what they have been doing for nearly a decade? Sang in spanish, their lyrics will become your perfect excuse to learn that beautiful language and their music one to smile. not suitable for the moody ones though...but thats pop right? Mendetz are simply fantastic...they will get you dancing for as long as you can take it. Like our dearest Franz Ferdinand, music for the girls (and boys) to dance to. Their music is contagious and their lyrics infectious. They sing in english and they come from Barcelona...oh, Barcelona... Their debut album “Mendetz”, has just come out in Spain to much acclaim. Aeropuerto...fasten your belts ladies and gents and get ready for a sonic boom. This guys are going to spike up every single one of your body hairs with their acid rock. Guitar distortions, trumpets, keyboards are just the basics for this 5 piece. They also come from Barcelona and have recorded a few tracks with Kramer (Galaxy 500, Low) that will be released as an EP in the UK and the US.
